Hong Kong Art Fair looks for volunteers for 2 different tasks:

(1) an afternoon on May 10 to help installing a public art project; and
(2) any 2 days+ to help generally in the fair from May 10-17.

This is a good opportunity for students who are interested in a career in
art galleries, or simply to meet artists and people.

Those who are interested should write directly to magnus@hongkongartfair.com

CIL graduate Jolene Mok’s video in two European festivals

Working Video, a video work CIL 2007 graduate Jolene Mok (Mok Chung-Ling) adapted from her FYP, had been selected for two festivals in Europe.

The work is a quotation of three works Jolene did in her “Micro-Narratives” class, then turned into the hands of a school-mate in the NMI studio who responded to her works with another short video. Working Video therefore embeds 4 different short video pieces into two young women’s discussion about questions of artistic creation plus footage of their collaboration process.

XVI edition of Sguardi Altrove Film Festival (Milan, Italy).

Her video was screened in the Cinema Gnomo session.

56th Belgrade Documentary Film Festival (Serbia).

The film was screened in the special, noncompetitive programme called LAB, dedicated to experimental cinema.
